Boldly Flow

I find that when I get scared or apprehensive, my tendency is to pull at every root I pass by as I’m rushing down the river in my canoe. The problem is that as I reach for the roots, I lose my balance and capsize.

But with courage, facing the hard rapids of life, I discover the freedom of a life lived in the moment, willing to let go of the things that try to impede my course.

I learn to flow like water from a dam, flowing with courage. And though the rapids are great and terrifying, only by letting go will free me to get through them.
