Getting Ready for Tomorrow

Let the old things go. Put down those heavy burdens. Release that loss and anguish, and all those painful memories. It’s been a sad time, a lonely time. It feels that there is not a friend in the world who understands us, who can take the pain away. It is time to trust the place we’re in, even though we have many scars. It is time to let it all go – the wounds. The hurt. The abuse. The darkness we feel, all around us.

What is ahead is where our hearts are going. The sun not only gives life to our plants, but serves as a symbol of an unimaginable goodness, warm and life-giving, overwhelming and clean, a breeze and a joy, on the horizon up ahead.

Let’s settle. Let’s sigh. Let’s breathe and feel the life in us and all around. That tiny song we feel inside our souls is the first note to the True Song awaiting us with Jesus. It’s good. Our faith that brought us to this point is as small as a key that fits a wide door. And the door is opening and has opened and we are not betrayed in our hearts. But we are experiencing genuine love that is solid in us.

This authentic tomorrow is real.
