If the Lord promises you something, but it hasn’t happened yet, it isn’t because the Lord has abandoned you. It’s because He’s leading you to the finish line. If the Lord tells the marathoner at the outset of the race, “I have a prize waiting for you. You will finish this race. Don’t quit.” The Lord’s promise is the same at the beginning of the race, just as it is on Mile 2, Mile 10, Mile 13, Mile 20 and Mile 25. And every moment in between. From the very beginning of our race, God has planted His promise inside us. He has never lied. Never manipulated. Our race is a hard one. But He is with us. And He’s built us for this very challenge. So keep it up! We are nearing the finish line! It will be worth it once we arrive.
