The Joy of Waiting

The best time that God unfolds, unfolds like a lovely, slow-cooking, thickening soup. A time when the Lord is on the move, His will fast and powerful, working to bring good to the world. I am at my best when I realize this, that God loves me and has a plan, a good plan that seems to take a very long time to come to fruition, but actually is done at just the right time. It’s an opportunity for me to experience the joy of the Lord in the spirit of simply waiting on Him, to have no other want in my soul but to feel content in the thick of the day, letting go of everything and every desire, so that I can make ample room to be ready, and to be willing, when the Good Lord brings His love today.
