Holiday Rolls

At Thanksgiving this year my brothers, sister-in-law and I all chipped in to provide some kind of dish. My duty was to make the holiday rolls in the same way that our grandma made them. It was tricky because you have to bake them at the right time after they’ve risen just enough. With lots of help from my mom, we got them baked. And we enjoyed them with the turkey, grilled vegetables, apple pie, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and so on. I guess this comes to mind today because it reminds me that God’s timing is perfect. Not that the holiday rolls were, but in illustration, I’m learning that when things are just right in heaven, and the joy and the love so faithfully align, God answers our most cherished prayers.
