The Closeness of Jesus

I may fail my friends. I may find that my friend fails me. Love and forgiveness heal those wounds. I’m thankful, though, that through all our failures, the true friend who is with us no matter what is Jesus. Let me seek to draw near to Him today. Let me find His comfort, His healing kindness, His unfathomable forgiveness. I cannot make it today without being in His will. I won’t survive. But Jesus sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). I pray that I would draw near to You, dear God, that if my heart starts to fail today out of fear or anxiety, I can find healing in You. Thank You, Lord, for Your loyalty.
