Jesus is Lord

Knowing you are saved is not complicated. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9: “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;” NASB 1995.

I want to remember this. The path to salvation is not some gimmick, or a bait that a slimy salesman uses to notch another win on his belt. I don’t get the credit if I follow the Lord’s call to make a disciple. Jesus gets all the credit.

My role is simply to be present, and ready, and willing – not to boost my proselytizing credit score by bringing someone to Jesus – but to live out my faith in real time, confessing with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believing in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. The gospel is simple.
