The Gift of Grace

Unlike another religion, the life of following Christ is founded on grace. Meaning, I can’t do anything to earn my salvation; it’s all done for me. Jesus did it all, on the cross. I simply receive His salvation, believing through faith. This position of living not in my own power or merit, but through the loving power of Jesus, is truly radical. It’s grace. Divine grace. Unmerited favor. Faith, not by works – so that none can boast. Let me receive it, then. Let me accept that in my own power, I am a wretch. But in the power of Jesus’s grace gift, I am reborn. In Him alone, I have eternal life. May you and I live in His grace today.
