To be a Christian

I want to be a follower of Jesus. To the core. To me, that means to do what I can to lift up, and love. If I embark on a crusade to overwhelm, subjugate, imprison, enslave, or steal land from others, then I would not be living the life Jesus wants me to live. Too often in history people have claimed the name of Jesus to take land from others, or enslave them. If I am a Christian, I want my heart in heaven, with Jesus – not in avarice, set on earth. Lord, help me to live for You, with my heart set on Your coming kingdom. I love You. I want to lift others up to You!
