Love in a Drought

It’s never too late to find a soul to love. In a broken world, where despair lurks like a poisonous mist, the fresh air comes when I let go of the desperation of survival, breathe in hope, and discover that the love in the air is greater than anything else. I speak of the love we find in the Lord, not something transitory or ephemeral, or caught on a whim – but deep hope in a big, big water balloon, splashing down on us, cleansing us, purifying us, giving us refreshment in a land of arid things. Hope in God is where He loves.
