Saturday in the Sun

Sometimes in my haste I forget to appreciate the small things in life.

I get so carried away with discontentment, and the grind to be successful.

The harder I strive to be of a prestigious cloth, the more wrapped up I become in dissatisfaction.

But when I slow down, and take the time to appreciate the things that make life worth living – like a good cup of coffee, air in my lungs, a bit of shelter, the light of the sun on the window sill – I am reminded that life as it is, is truly spectacular.
