Friendly Stope

If I am a miner, and my life is made to mine the stope, let me throw my pick into the darkness and mine hope. Let me mine what is impossible to mine, a hope against hope, where the prize is eternity in paradise. That bonanza is too good to be true, where pain, suffering, heartache, loss and death are no more. But it is true. I have a lode of it in my soul, put there by the generous love of the Spirit of our King. Then let me be faithful to my work. Let me press on, deeper into the mountain until… at last… we break through, and heaven comes raining down on us all.
